Ser Brendel Byrne is a sellsword and knight in service to the Golden Company. As a serjeant, he is a high-ranking officer.[1]

After the Golden Company has taken Griffin's Roost, Ser Brendel is part of the war council called by Jon Connington. He raises objections against Connington's plan to march on Storm's End because he sees the Lannisters as the main enemy.[2]
