Appearance
Cragorn is a monster of a man, tall and huge, with a shaved head. A large hawk is tattooed across his chest, with its talons dripping blood. He wears rings of gold, jade, and jet on his muscular arms.[1][2] According to Victarion Greyjoy, Cragorn is mute, and strong enough to twist a man's head off his shoulders with only his bare hands.[3]
Recent Events
A Feast for Crows
Cragorn is among Euron Greyjoy's party at the kingsmoot on Old Wyk, during which he blows the dragon horn to announce Euron's claim to the title of King of the Iron Islands. When Cragorn blows the horn, the muscles in his chest twitch in a way that makes it look like his hawk tattoo is about to rip off his chest and take flight. Cragorn blows the horn three times, but then collapses, with blood and blisters on his lips, and his bird tattoo is bleeding.[1]
Later, Euron tells his brother, Victarion Greyjoy, that Cragorn has died. Euron says that when a maester cut him open to examine the cause of death, he discovered that Cragorn's lungs were charred black as soot.[4]
A Dance with Dragons
Aboard the Iron Victory, Victarion shows Moqorro the dragon horn that Euron has given him, and tells him what happened to Cragorn. Moqorro tells him the horn is named Dragonbinder.[2]

As the Iron Victory approaches Meereen, Victarion recruits three thralls to blow Dragonbinder: the boy, the brute, and the bastard's bastard. They know what happened to Cragorn, but Victarion points out that he blew the horn three times, and they will do it once each, and might survive.[3]
Quotes
Moqorro: And the man who blew the horn, what of him?
Victarion: He died. There were blisters on his lips, after. His bird was bleeding too. The hawk, just here. Every feather dripping blood. I heard the man was all burned up inside, but that might just have been some tale.[2]—Moqorro and Victarion Greyjoy
