Appearance
Ser Manfred was a thin man with an unruly mane of red-gold hair. He wore a black wool surcoat slashed with the purple lightning of House Dondarrion.[1]
History
In 206 AC, Ser Manfred accompanied the host of his lord father and Lord Pearse Caron that defeated the Vulture King, burning him out of the Red Mountains.[1]
Manfred attended the tourney at Ashford Meadow in 209 AC. Having served with the Dondarrions against the Vulture King, Ser Duncan the Tall thought Manfred could vouch for his knighthood to the master of games at the tourney, however Manfred did not remember him. Ser Duncan recited the origins of House Dondarrion hoping to impress him, but Manfred was uninterested and claimed that he could not help. Later, when Ser Duncan searched for a seventh knight for his trial of seven, Manfred ignored his call for help, making a comment to the noblewoman beside him.[1]
Family
Ser Manfred Dondarrion was the son and heir of the Lord of Blackhaven.[1] His relation to Lady Jena Dondarrion, the wife of Prince Baelor Targaryen,[3] is unknown.
