A Feast for Crows
Ser Jaime Lannister leads his force past Sow's Horn on his way to Riverrun.[2]
Ser Roger tells Jaime of the deprivations and attacks he had suffered during the War of the Five Kings. He tells of the Karstarks that came looking for Jaime, but he and his men saw them off and buried three of them down by the turnips. Prior to the Karstarks some Lannisters came around, led by Ser Amory Lorch. He slaughtered half of Roger's sheep and three good milk goats, and tried to roast Roger in his tower, but became bored when it would not burn and rode off. Wolves then arrived and ate the sheep Lorch left. Roger adds that he acquired a few good pelts in recompense, but fur will not fill your belly. When he asks Jaime what should they do, Jaime advises him to plant and pray for one last harvest.[2]
On the suggestion of Ser Kennos of Kayce, Ser Lyle Crakehall questions Roger on his ancestry, making sure he is not a long lost Crakehall.[2]
