Harlan Hoare was a prince of the Iron Islands from House Hoare. He was the middle son of Qhorwyn Hoare, King of the Iron Islands.
History
Harlan was the heir of King Qhorwyn Hoare, as Qhorwyn's eldest son had died of greyscale. When Qhorwyn the Cunning was dying, Harlan died suddenly, allegedly due to falling from a horse. Some suggested that Harlan's younger brother, Harwyn was actually to blame, while others attributed Harlan's death to a Faceless Man. Harwyn succeeded as King of the Iron Islands six days after Qhorwyn's own death.[1]
