Lucan is a blacksmith at Harrenhal. He is master at the armory.
Character
Arya Stark does not believe that Lucan can read.[1] Gendry likes the armorer.[2]
Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
After being brought to Harrenhal, Gendry serves Lucan in the armory.[1]
Weese sends Arya Stark to Lucan to get a new sword for Ser Lyonel. The blacksmith gives Arya a heavy longsword but tells her to deliver his message to Weese that Lyonel does not deserve such a good sword. Arya lies by saying she will do so.[1]
Arya tries to talk Gendry into running away from Harrenhal, but he is opposed to the idea, considering Harrenhal a better place than others and Lucan a fair enough master.[3]
After the Brave Companions turn cloak and aid northmen with the fall of Harrenhal, Lord Roose Bolton has Steelshanks Walton behead Lucan for having made weapons for the Lannisters. Like other executed servants, Lucan's head is tarred and put on a spike on the ramparts of the gatehouse as feast for the crows.[2] Gendry blames Arya for Lucan's death, as she had helped during Harrenhal's capture.[2]
