Yorbert Royce was the Lord of Runestone and the head of House Royce during the late reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen.[1][2]
History
Lord Yorbert Royce was the regent and the Lord Protector of the Vale during the minority of Lady Jeyne Arryn,[1][2] after her lord father and elder brothers were slain by the Stone Crows.[4] In that capacity, he attended the Great Council of 101 AC in her stead.[1][2] Though not stated in the text, Lord Yorbert likely voted for Prince Viserys Targaryen who was married to one of Jeyne's relatives, Aemma Arryn.
Rhea Royce, the heir to Runestone, was married to Prince Daemon Targaryen in 97 AC.[2] By the time of the accession of King Viserys I Targaryen in 103 AC,[5] Rhea had succeeded Yorbert as Lady of Runestone, indicating that he had passed away.[2]
